How Do I Meet People?

St. James Church of Christ is not a place for spectators. It is a place where everybody is somebody. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church family.  Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at St. James.

Bible Study
Each Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that  adults get to ask questions and discuss the word of God in an informal setting.

 FELLOWSHIP GROUPS

CHRISTIAN WOMEN FELLOWSHIP
The purpose of Disciples Women is to provide opportunities for spiritual growth, enrichment, education and creative ministries to enable women to develop a sense of personal responsibility for the whole mission of the church of Jesus Christ and to provide a channel through which women in the congregation may be joined in fellowship and find means for effective participation in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).  The Women of Greatness CWF meet once a quarter as announced.

CHRISTIAN MEN FELLOWSHIP
The purpose of Disciples Men is to minister to the unique needs of men in the church, enabling them to fulfill their potential as servants of God, strengthening the total ministry of the church.

CHRISTIAN YOUTH FELLOWSHIP
The Mission of our Christian Youth Fellowship Group is to respond to the needs of youth for relationships, events, and opportunities where they can be themselves, discern their gifts, and be empowered to be effective leaders and servants as called by God to be the body of Christ in the world. The Christian Youth Fellowship meetings are announced.

COUPLES FELLOWSHIP
Even though marriage is one of the most important institutions, it is the one which is under the most attack–internally and externally.   St. James Church offers couples (married and single) a special fellowship time, entitled, “Heart-to-Heart” Fellowship in which information is shared to strengthen relationships and marriages.  Couples also participate in both fun and relevant activities.  Marriage counseling is also offered by the Pastor upon request.
